Growing, growing, growing...

This week has been a week of change in the Gressler household. The first big change is that I went back to work this week, and Charlie started going to daycare. The first day was very hard, for mommy that is, Charlie was just fine. Go figure, right? Charlie seems to really like his daycare, and is always very happy while he is there, which helps mommy in this transition.

I swear that Charlie is hitting another growth spurt here lately. Last night he slept for 12 hours. Then once we got up and started to hang out and relax this morning, he fell asleep in his swing, and slept for almost 3 more hours! So now we are up to 15 hours of sleep since 7:30 last night. Then while running errands, he fell asleep, and slept for another hour and a half. So we are looking at 16.5 hours of sleeping today. Does this boy not realize that there is only 24 hours in a day?? Probably not.

Story time...I try and read to Charlie everyday. He seems to enjoy looking at the books, and is usually very still.

He is getting so big...it doesn't seem like it was too long ago, that you had to prop him up against the arm to try and get him to sit up, and then usually he would just slide down into a pile of cuteness. Now he can sit up in the middle of the chair, all by himself...where has the time gone...sigh...

I took this one today. I thought he would enjoy showing off the present that my aunt gave me for him. She said she thought about taking a sharpie and writing 'great' in front of the aunt, but luckily she changed her mind. Nothing says redneck like sharpie on a shirt....

I think this little boy needs some more love....what do you think???

Look at me I'm 3 months old!

Yes, yes I'm afraid it's true. Charlie turned 3 months old yesterday....my baby is growing up waaayyy too fast! How have we spent these past few weeks...well running errands with mommy, even when it's a little chilly outside....

Spending time in his Bumpo, so that he can sit up by himself someday..

Of course, falling asleep in his swing is still one of his favorite thing to do, especially in the early am...

Who can forget about spending time in 'his' chair with his toys. He's starting to really pay attention to which toy he has, and reach out and grab the one he wants.

Charlie has really started to find his voice. He spends most of the days just babbling on about I'm sure he feels is important. It's all about having the important conversations these days.

Being a big boy by sitting all by himself in his daddy's chair. My how time flies! My little baby is growing into a little man. He's so precious and such a blessing to our lives.

Warning: Cute naked baby pictures ahead....

About those naked baby pictures....just kidding. I don't want to offend anybody, or to  seem creepy or anything like that. Now that I have your attention, I do have some pictures to offer for your viewing.

Not quite naked baby pictures, but close enough for comfort. Who doesn't love a half naked, extremely cute little boy?? I know I do!!

Yes, while I was taking a few pictures from this angle, he did act like he wanted to roll off the changing table. He hasn't rolled over for awhile, but I know that the day that he starts to roll over on a regular basis is getting closer.

All dressed and ready to run errands with mommy today.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my pictures....I'm a sucker for the camera!!

Jump, jump, jump..

While we were up at Grandma and Grandpa's, we went shopping with Grandma. When we had family over, it was decided that Charlie needed a jumper, since he loves his bouncy seat, and is constantly jumping whenever someone is holding him. So while we were out and about, we looked for a jumper for Charlie.

When we first put him in it, he wasn't so sure about it. It didn't help that he's just not quite big enough for it. But it's nothing that a few pillows on the floor and a towel behind him doesn't fix.

Look at this big boy!! He's starting to figure out his jumper and really enjoying it.  Grandma would be so proud of him....

Daddy did a great job taking some pictures didn't he??

Such a cutie!!

Over the river and through the woods....

Two weekends ago Charlie and I took his first long road trip up to see Grandma and Grandpa. He did very well on the trip, sleeping most of the time. It made things nice, since it was just him and I.

Once we arrived, there was a lot of traffic to see Charlie. We had people over Friday night, and Saturday night for a visit. Charlie did very well, and kept his happy attitude through out everything. It was nice to see everyone, but it was also nice on the other two days, when it was just Grandma, Grandpa, and Charlie.

Don't you know that having a conversation with Grandpa is a pretty exciting thing. Charlie had a lot to say if you couldn't tell...

Of course there was lots of Charlie and Grandma time. When you don't get to see her very often, you need to soak up all the time that you can with Grandma.

We even had some time with Uncle Tyler. It was nice to see him, since he's move out on his own, so he's not around as much.

It was great to visit and see everyone. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

2 months old!!

Yes, yes it's true. It's hard to believe, but our little Charlie is 2 months old today. Crazy how time flies by. I'm still out on leave from work, and I'm loving every minute I get to spend with Charlie.  He is developing into quite the little man.

This is how we usually start out our morning. Nothing like chilling in your swing to make sure you are good and ready for the day to start.

I've started to give Charlie a bath every night before we get him ready for bed. I was told that setting a good solid routine would help him with his sleeping, and as far as I can tell it has. I hate to say anything, since I don't want to jinx it, but all last week Charlie has slept for at least 8 hours a night, if not longer. So being the good momma that I am, I am sticking to the bath every night routine.

I'm not sure where he gets this from, but it happens to some degree every night. It's known by bad bath head. It's funny to see how it shapes up every night. Pretty funny, or at least I think so.

Look at me, see how big I am! We went to the doctor today, and the verdict is in...Charlie is growing like a weed!! He weighed in at 14 pounds 9  ounces, and is 25.25 inches long. He's in the 97th percentile for height and his head circumference, which was 16.5 inches, a whole inch bigger than when he was 2 weeks old, and the 94th percentile for his weight. It looks like he's going to be tall and skinny if he keeps this up!!

He's so cute...

So another week has gone by, man how time flies. I can't even fathom were time has gone. On one hand its crazy that Charlie has been with us for 7 weeks, and on the other it's hard that it has been only 7 weeks. He is growing like a weed, and being more and more active. He laughs and talks to us everyday, and is being more interactive with people. It's amazing to watch the changes in him.

Sometimes the best way to take a nap is with mommy in her and daddy's bed...

I wonder how those things got up there...

I love being all wrapped up after my bath

We couldn't help it. Mike picked out this towel, and had been asking me to use it for awhile, and I didn't, only because I thought it was too big for Charlie. So when Mike got the towel out for bath time, he picked this one. I must say, our little tigger is pretty stinkin' cute!

I love my little tigger, he's so snuggley
