Just because...

I've decided that I needed to, well want to, post some more pictures of Charlie, just because. There really isn't any reason except to show off his cuteness for everyone to see. It's hard to believe that Charlie will be six weeks old tomorrow. How time flies!!

Such a big boy. We've started to use the Bumpbo that we borrowed from Melissa and Michael. He's still not too sure about it, but he's holding his head up enough that we can let him sit in it a little each day.

We took Charlie on his first boat ride around the lake last weekend. He pretty much slept the entire time, so I guess he thought it was pretty relaxing...

He's really starting to focus on things that are far away. His swing has a mobile of elephants, and he spends most of his time looking at them.

Then there are times that Charlie gets to talking and making all kinds of faces. It's times like these that makes my day. I love waking up to see these faces every day.

He is such a flirt already....how can you resist this face?? Life is good, and I am so blessed.

Charlie's one month old!!

Wow how time flies!! It's crazy that Charlie is already a month old. When I look back at these past four weeks, it still amazes me how he has changed, and is still changing daily.

Hanging out in his bouncy seat..

Poor guy couldn't fight it any longer...amazing how he can fall asleep anywhere, and stay that way if left alone. Too funny!!

One of the big changes in Charlie is that he has found his voice. He will randomly make noises just to hear himself. He talks to me all day, and is mimicking sounds and pitches that we make. I love to hear him laugh and coo every day.

Laughing and cooing at daddy...

Another new thing that Charlie likes to do, is to blow spit bubbles. He has spent the last few days pretty much soaking the front of him. Looks like it might be time to bust out the bibs...

Gotta love those big spit bubbles...

Sound asleep on his daddy...he sleeps like his momma, with one arm stretched out, and laying on his side..

I sure do love this little boy, and am 100% amazed and blessed to watch him grow and change daily. Life is good!!

Such a big boy...

It's hard to believe that Charlie will be three weeks old tomorrow. On one hand, time has really flown by, but on the other, it seems like he's been here much longer than that.

When I look back on these three weeks, it's crazy to see the changes that have taken place. The ways he is changing and growing this week alone just amaze me. We went to the doctor earlier this week, and everything checked out just great. Our doctor wanted Charlie to be back to his birth weight by this check up, and Charlie blew the requirements out of the water. Not only did he get back to his birth weight, but he surpassed it. He weighed in at 10.4 lbs, which was way pass the 9.3 lbs goal, and was 23.25 inches long. So in the past two weeks, he put on almost 2 lbs, and grew almost 2 inches, which put him off all the charts in the doctor's office.

I took this picture the other night, while he was having tummy time on the ottoman. He has been holding his head up more and more each day, and this was the longest that he held his head up. I'm not sure when a baby starts to hold his head up, but Charlie seems to be a bit a head of the curve on this one. He's growing up so fast...

Just chillin...

Snuggle time with daddy...

All ready for a walk. We've been trying to go for a walk at least once a day. The fresh air does both of us some good, plus the exercise does momma wonders.

Bath Time!!

We've been very spoiled this past week, Grandma came to stay with us for the week. Grandma did a lot around the house this past week while she was here. She really spoiled all of us this week, since she cooked for us every night, cleaned the house, and did several loads of laundry. Of course while she was here she spent as much time with Charlie as possible.

While Grandma was here, we decided that we needed to give Charlie his second bath.  The first one went pretty well, so we figured that the second one would go just as well.

Such a handsome boy....he seems to enjoy his baths

I know I'm biased, but can you get any cuter than this?? All wrapped up in his little towel....how can you not love this little guy???

We all enjoyed Grandma's stay this past week. Now it's time for reality to set in, and for the three of us to try and figure out how all this is going to work, without any experienced help floating around. One thing is for sure, I have the cutest little guy always looking up at me, and that alone makes me want to do everything I can for him. I'm so blessed!!
